Environment Agency -
STATEMENT FROM ENVIRONMENT AGENCY  - Odour issues on Dunstable Road, Toddington. The Environment Agency has been made  aware of odour issues to the west of the village and particularly along the Dunstable Road. As the regulator of the activity,  the EA  is working closely with the operators to reduce the odour  from the field lagoon  on Dunstable Road.  The EA will continue to work with the operator to achieve compliance with their Environmental Permit.

Unacceptable odour affecting the amenity value for local residents should be reported to our Incident Hotline The EA operates a 24 hour incident line ( 0800 807060) for any of the incidents listed below:-

*   damage or danger
to the natural environment
*   pollution to water or land
*   poaching or illegal fishing
*   dead fish or fish gasping for air
*   watercourses blocked by a vehicle or fallen tree causing risk of
flooding
*   flooding from main rivers
*   illegal dumping of hazardous waste or large amounts of industrial waste
*   illegal removals from watercourses
*   unusual changes in river flow
*   collapsed or badly damaged river banks
*   Incidents resulting from activities at  EA Permitted Sites.
